Is it really Spring?
After ice we got about 3 inches of snow. The branches were all touching the ground because of the ice. It looked beautiful but not for the end of March! Good thing the kids got out to enjoy it since it all melted the next day!

We went to the St. Patrick's Day parade on Tuesday with the family of a classmate of Alyssa's. Her mom took a bunch of pictures so hope to get some of them added. Turned out to be a beautiful day in the 70's.
So today Alyssa was expecting another nice day so she did multiple outfit changes from shorts back into long pants and sweater. Although I was wearing a few layers it was a nice day in the 50's. Alyssa has been asking when Spring will be here. She was so excited when I told her that on Friday it will officially be SPRING!(I made sure to warn her that it did mean we would always have warm days).
The kids were sharing a snack on the porch. (Alyssa is wearing her first outfit of the day).

Sunday afternoon it was so cute to see big sister helping her little brother with painting. She loves showing and telling John what to do! Here they are enjoying some yummy Oreo cookies. (Yes, I admit I had a couple too...I mean a bunch...but it was Sunday so I was allowed to after finding out that Sundays "don't count").

Future Book Worms
This morning was just the cutest to see. Alyssa was "reading" to John. I've been doing lots of reading to the kids lately. We keep track of time spent reading for Alyssa's book-it program for school and I was shocked after counting them up that we had read 1,275 minutes for the month of February! Alyssa loves these fairy books by Daisy Meadows so we've been checking them out from the library. Alyssa is so excited that her grandma who's coming today can read more of them to her! Hope grandma is prepared - the minute she walks in the door she'll have Alyssa handing her books!
