Signs of Spring?

Took the kids to the movies to see Bolt (only because we had a free promotional invite). There was a drawing for a free Wii - and we missed it by one number! Afterwards took the kids to the Oz exhibit downtown before I went to work.

Alyssa just can't wait for Spring. A day with temps in the 60's gave Alyssa a reason to wear sandals and short sleeves.

We had a little mini vacation Sunday - Monday. We took the kids to the waterpark and stayed overnight. The kids had a great time.


John's favorite was the blue slide.

The boys went to see a Monster Truck show so it was going to be just a girls day. Alyssa wanted to watch some movies, until I had her come outside to see that it was a beautiful day - it was in the 70's. So the next thing she wanted to do was to put on her favorite shorts and to have a picnic. So we had a picnic on the front yard - I suggested a banana split and to no suprise, she eagerly agreed.
Later in the afternoon we went to a family event with the mom's group. A chili potluck and the kids all got to watch the latest Veggie Tales movie. Most of the kiddos were running around the cafeteria but I was able to relax, knowing that one of them wasn't John!
John and Dad got home just before Alyssa and I that evening. John brought home some cotton candy to share with Alyssa. How thoughtful of him. Jeff was saying how neat it was to see the big smile on John's face all afternoon.
