With gifts we received in the mail from the grandparents. They are holding up the neat ornaments their grandma makes every year for them.

Camping with the boy scouts. After a freezing night (even with the winter coats I insisted on bringing) and no sleep...think that will be my first and last night camping outside!

Kids doing their lap-a-thon fundraiser at school. John did 21 laps and Alyssa did 25. Since we had previously been asking friends, relatives and neighbors to buy pasta for Alyssa's soccer fundraiser, popcorn for boy scouts now and girl scout cookies the end of month, I decided I didn't want to ask anyone else. So night before the pledges were due, the kids told their dad they needed $50 each (to get a school lunch bag) and he gave in! For $100 raised they would have gotten a kite but thankfully they were not interested in that. Now he always teases them about how much he loves their "awesome" $50 lunch bags!
